A ward at a Dundee hospital has reopened after an outbreak of the winter vomiting virus.

Ward 22 was shut to new admissions following several cases of vomiting and diarrhoea last week.

NHS Tayside said the ward was shut as a precautionary measure after several cases of norovirus, more commonly known as the winter vomiting bug.

A health board spokesperson said infection control measures had been put in place.
