Driver dies after overturning on A9

A motorist has died in hospital after being injured in a crash on the A9.

The 63-year-old man lost control and overturned his green Land Rover Defender on a southbound section of the dual carriageway south of Birnam, Perthshire, on Saturday morning.

He was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance, but later died.

No one else was in the Land Rover at the time, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident. Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
