Villagers face 60-mile roadwork detour

Drivers face a 60-mile long diversion due to roadworks on a stretch of road in Killin, Stirlingshire.

The village's A827 Gray Street is being resurfaced from 17-21 June and is closed from 9:00 to 18:00 each day.

The long detour takes drivers through Crieff and Aberfeldy, via the A85 and A822 and along Loch Tay.

Concerns had been raised over the works coinciding with the tourist season. Stirling Council said the road was in poor condition and needed attention.
