Investigations continue into the death of an Forfar man

The death of a man at a flat in Forfar is being treated as "unexplained" by police.

The 41-year-old was discovered in the town's Restenneth Drive on Monday evening.

He was found lying behind a door in the ground floor flat but was dead upon arrival.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "An ambulance was dispatched but the gentleman was way beyond help."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers attended at Restenneth Drive, Forfar, at 9.20pm on Monday June 17 following the sudden death of a 41-year-old man.

"It is being treated as unexplained at this time and as with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
