Motorist dies in early morning crash

A motorist has died following a collision in Clackmannanshire.

Police said the fatal crash happened on the A907 at Helensfield, to the east of Alloa, at 08:42.

The 59-year-old male driver of a blue Nissan Qashqai died as a result of the accident.

The road was closed for approximately three hours to allow an investigation to be carried out. Police appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
