John Burns from Alloa named as fatal crash victim

A driver who died as a result of a crash in Clackmannanshire has been named by police.

John Burns, 56, from Alloa, died after an accident on the A907 at Helensfield, to the east of Alloa on 13 July.

He was driving a blue Nissan Qashqai when the collision happened.

In a statement his wife Gillian said: "He was one of the nicest men you could ever meet. He was kind to everybody and always friendly."

She added: "He was the love of my life and had been since we were teenagers. I am heartbroken and can't imagine my life without him.

"I have had the best years with him. He was a much loved husband, father, step-father and grandfather.

"He will be missed not just by me, but by his whole family."
