Arrests over disturbance outside Fat Sam's nightclub in Dundee

Four people have been arrested after a disturbance involving a group of 40 men outside a Dundee nightclub.

More than 20 police officers attended the incident outside Fat Sam's nightclub on South Ward Road at about 02:30.

A police spokesman said the crowd was dispersed within 15 minutes.

Four males, aged 16, 17, 19 and 22, were arrested and charged with a breach of the peace.

Police Scotland said officers took details from others in the group and further inquiries were being carried out. CCTV footage is also being reviewed.

They will be trying to establish whether the incident was football-related.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who has footage of the incident on their mobile phones.
