Man's body recovered from River Tay

The body of a man has been pulled from the River Tay at Broughty Ferry.

Police said the discovery was made a short distance from the shoreline between Broughty Castle and the Broughty Ferry Lifeboat Station.

A member of the public spotted the body in the water at about 08:00 and alerted police.

Inquiries are under way to determine the man's identity. Local officers also said they were liaising with colleagues in relation to any missing persons.
