Boy 'critical' after being hit by vehicle in Brechin

A seven-year-old boy has been critically injured after he was struck by a vehicle in Brechin, Angus.

Police said he was attempting to cross North Latch Road when he was hit by the vehicle at about 17:00.

The boy is being treated at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. His condition has been described as "critical but stable".

The road was closed to allow for investigations. Police have asked any witnesses to contact them.
