Police revisit scene of an attempted robbery in Dundee

Police investigating an attempted robbery at a Dundee newsagent are to revisit the scene.

A teenager threatened a 67-year-old shop assistant with a weapon and demanded money in the Hilltown area of the city last Wednesday at about 16:45.

The suspect, who is aged about 16 or 17, 5ft tall, of medium build and with short dirty blonde hair, ran off after she refused to hand over any cash.

Officers want to speak to the occupants of two cars in the area at the time.

One was a purple or red Ford Focus seen at about 15:00, and the other was a silver car, possibly an older-style Honda Civic or Nissan Almera, which was seen at about 16:35.

Police have carried out a review of CCTV and made door-to-door inquiries as part of the investigation.

They urged anyone who was in the area at the time, who might have information about the robbery, to contact them.
