Mark Duncan McMillan from Falkirk named as A803 crash victim

A 20-year-old man who died following a crash involving two cars in Bonnybridge has been named by police.

Mark Duncan McMillan died at the scene while two passengers in the car he was travelling in, aged 18 and 20, were seriously injured.

The incident happened on the A803 near Bonnybridge Power Station at about 13:30 on Sunday.

A 48-year-old woman driving the second car sustained minor injuries but was later discharged from hospital.

Roads were closed for four hours while police carried out an investigation at the scene.

The driver of a small dark-coloured hatchback, who police were looking to trace, has now been traced and inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are still trying to establish the events that resulted in both vehicles colliding and ultimately led to the death of this young man.

"Anyone who believes they have information that can assist with our ongoing investigation is asked to contact police immediately."
