Woman hurt in Falkirk flat fire

A woman has been injured in a fire which broke out at a high-rise block of flats in Falkirk.

Fire crews rescued the woman form her smoke-filled flat shortly before midnight on Monday. She was given first aid by emergency services at the scene.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said six firefighters entered the flat to perform the rescue then returned to fight the fire.

The injured woman was taken to hospital. Her condition is not known.
