Pedestrian Sybil Butchart, 79, dies on Dundee dual carriageway

A 79-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car on a dual carriageway in Dundee.

Sybil Butchart, of Colonsay Terrace, died at the scene after being hit by a silver Chevrolet Matiz at about 08:50 on the A90 Dundee to Forfar road.

Police said the 20-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.

Officers have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed Mrs Butchart movements prior to the collision to contact them.
