Woman critical after motorbike crash near Dundee

A woman has been critically injured after her motorbike was involved in a crash with a car near Dundee.

The accident happened on the B954 Meigle to Dundee road near the junction with Auchterhouse at about 16:05.

The 35-year-old woman is being treated at Ninewells Hospital for head, pelvic and leg injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash which involved an MZ motorbike and a silver Ford Focus.

The 66 year-old-male driver of the Ford Focus and a 74-year-old male passenger were not injured.

The road was closed for almost five hours for investigations to be carried out.
