Services stopped after girl hit by train at Carnoustie

Rail services were disrupted after a teenage girl was hit by a train near Carnoustie.

Emergency services were called at about 09:20 after the CrossCountry Aberdeen to Penzance service struck the girl at a level crossing near the golf course.

British Transport Police said a teenage girl was treated at the scene before being taken to Ninewells Hospital, where she is in a stable condition.

Delays between Dundee and Aberdeen were resolved by 12:00.
