John Trimble named as Ballinluig layby crash victim

Police have formally identified a man who died after his car was involved in a collision with a lorry on the A9 near Ballinluig.

John Trimble, of Cumbernauld, suffered fatal injuries in the crash, which happened in a layby on the road on Tuesday.

Mr Trimble's family said the 53-year-old would be "greatly missed".

Officers are investigating the crash, which happened at about 07:50, and have appealed for information.
