The Tay Rail Bridge was closed after a man was spotted on the tracks.

Police were called to the Dundee end of the bridge at 08:45 following reports that a man had been struck by a train.

However, the man was found safe and well, and a spokesman for ScotRail said emergency services had dealt with the incident.

Train services between Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, which pass through the city, are subject to delays between Ladybank and Dundee.
