Couple targeted by robbers in own home in Muthill

Police are investigating after thieves robbed a couple in their Perthshire home.

The victims, a 40-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, were in their house on Drummond Street in Muthill when two men came to the door at about 17:40 on Sunday.

The thieves, both aged about 60, demanded entry before making off with personal belongings, leaving the couple shaken but unhurt.

Officers have appealed for witnesses.

One of the suspects was about 5ft 11in tall, with stubble on his face, and was wearing a dark blue jacket with a hooded top underneath and dark trousers.

The second man was about 5ft 8in tall, and was also wearing dark clothing.
