Twelve held over Dundee United-Aberdeen game 'disorder'

Twelve people have been arrested in Aberdeen and Dundee in connection with football-related violence.

Police mounted an operation in response to incidents in Dundee on 13 December, when Aberdeen beat Dundee United 2-0 at Tannadice in a SPFL Premiership clash.

Police Scotland said 50 officers were involved in the early-morning raids in the two cities.

Ch Insp Murray Main said the campaign against anti-social behaviour would continue over the coming weeks.

Eight people were detained in Aberdeen, and four in Dundee.
