Police investigate assault and robbery at Dundee bar

Police are investigating after an assault and robbery at a Dundee bar.

A 25-year-old man suffered facial injuries during the robbery at the South Tay Superstore, South Tay Street, between about 01:00 and 01:30.

The suspect made off with a four-figure sum of cash. He was described as being about 6ft (1.8m) tall, and was wearing a black hooded top and a grey scarf.

He made off in the direction of Nethergate and Perth Road. Officers have appealed for witnesses.
