Police are searching for a Bonnybridge man who has not been seen since he went out for a bike ride on Sunday.

Bernard Burall, 49, was last seen cycling in Drum Wood, between South Drum Farm and Craigieburn, at about 13:00 on 29 March.

He has not been in contact with friends or family since, and officers said his disappearance was out of character.

Mr Burall is about 5ft 7in tall, of Afro-Caribbean appearance, with brown eyes and short black hair.

He speaks with a London accent, and was last seen wearing dark-coloured shorts and jacket and a cycle helmet, carrying a small black rucksack while riding a black Giant-brand mountain bike.

Insp John Kellett said: "Bernard's disappearance is very out of character and we are keen to establish his whereabouts as soon as possible and bring him home.

"Anyone who believes they have seen him since Sunday afternoon, or who has information that can help us locate him, is asked to contact police immediately.

"In addition, I would also urge Bernard to get in touch with family, friends, or with police, and let us know he is safe."
