Man on Blair Drummond safari park 'murder bid' charge

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder at a Stirlingshire safari park.

Christopher Blaikie appeared on petition at Stirling Sheriff Court after a 31-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed at Blair Drummond Safari Park's restaurant on Monday.

The 24-year-old, of Livingston, was charged with assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

Sheriff David Mackie committed the case for further examination.
