Dundee hospital porters go on strike over back pay
Porters at Dundee's Ninewells Hospital have gone on strike after last-ditch talks with NHS Tayside failed.
The Unite union claims staff are owed millions of pounds in back pay after being wrongly graded 10 years ago, something the health board disputes.
Following a series of one-day strikes, more than 100 staff are now on continuous strike, demanding an independent review of wages.
Meetings held on Monday failed to resolve the dispute.
The Royal Victoria Hospital in the city is also affected by the strikes, but NHS Tayside said contingency plans were in place to ensure both hospitals continued to serve patients.
