Motorcyclists badly hurt in crash with car on A907

Police are investigating after a man and a woman on a motorbike were hurt in a crash with a car in Stirlingshire.

The incident occurred at about 18:15 on Tuesday on the A907 Stirling to Alloa road, near the Manor Powis roundabout.

A 61-year-old male biker and his 58-year-old female pillion passenger suffered serious injuries when their black and red Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a Vauxhall Insignia car.

Officers have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Sgt Andrew Thomson from the divisional road policing unit said: "The road was very busy following two earlier minor collisions and there were numerous members of the public in this area.

"The motorcyclist and pillion passenger suffered some painful injuries but were released from Forth Valley Royal Hospital following treatment.

"Anyone who has information that can assist with our ongoing inquiries into this collision is asked to come forward."
