Man found in Alloa street with 'serious' head injury
A 45-year-old man is in a serious condition after being found with a head wound in an Alloa Street.
The man was found on Down's Crescent with a serious head injury at 06:30 on Sunday, 12 April and is being treated at the Western General in Edinburgh.
Police have only just appealed for information about the incident and said detailed inquiries would be carried out locally in the coming days.
Det Insp Graeme Hendry asked for anyone with information to come forward.
He said: "I would like to reassure the local community that police activity in the coming days is part of our inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this mans injuries.
"I am also appealing for anyone who may have seen anything that morning in the Down's Crescent or Caledonian Road areas to contact us."
