Probe after injured woman found in Bannockburn woods

Forth Valley police are appealing for information after a woman was found in the woods with unexplained injuries.

The 30-year-old suffered a number of injuries at some point between 22:00 on Saturday and 02:00 on Sunday in Bannockburn, in the area of Balfour Street and Randolph Crescent.

It is believed the woman, who is 5ft 6in tall and was wearing a black and white dress at the time, blacked out in the area of the Bannock Burn.

Police have appealed for witnesses.

They said members of the public may have seen the woman, who was carrying a brown handbag, in the area of Balfour Street and Morrison Drive at about 23:00.

Det Insp Hugh Louden said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who might have information that can help us find out what happened to this woman and how she came to have these injuries to her body."
