Man fined £200 for cannabis plant 'passenger'

A man who was caught by police officers driving with a cannabis plant on the passenger seat of his car has been fined £200.

Liam Housego was pulled over by road traffic police on the A90 dual carriageway after they spotted the distinctive plant.

Housego admitted being in possession of cannabis on 25 April last year.

The 30-year-old was fined for the offence after appearing at Perth Sheriff Court.
