Police hunt man who shouted racist abuse on train

Police are hunting a man who shouted racist abuse and swore at passengers on a train between Glasgow and Falkirk.

Officers said the man launched the tirade on the 22:49 service from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley shortly before 23:10 on Monday.

The man, who was described as being Asian and about 5ft 10in tall with black hair, left the train at Falkirk High station where he is believed to have taken a taxi.

Police were alerted by a text message sent by another passenger.
