Cannabis worth more than £12,000 recovered in police raid

A "significant quantity" of cannabis has been recovered by Forth Valley police following two drug raids.

Officers said more than £12,000 of the Class B drug was found at properties in Bellsdyke Road, Stenhousemuir and Carmuirs Avenue in Camelon.

A man and woman, aged 33 and 18 , are expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court in connection with the drug recoveries.

The raids were carried out as part of Operation Core.

Sgt Andrea Campbell, of Grangemouth community police team, said: "A significant quantity of drugs have been taken off our streets and we hope it sends a clear message that drug dealing of any kind will not be tolerated.

"Information from the public is vital in helping us to tackle drug crime and I want to reassure our communities that we will act on the information provided to us."
