Two in court over £45,000 drugs recovery

Two men have appeared in court in connection with the recovery of £45,000 worth of cannabis by police in Perth.

Jacob Simpson, 25, and Kieran Teasdale, 22, both from Bradford, are accused of being concerned in the supply of the Class B drug.

They were detained between Broxden and Craigend on the M90 near Perth on Monday.

The two men were granted bail on the condition they only return to Scotland for court appearances.

Both men appeared separately in private before Sheriff Christopher Shead at Perth Sheriff Court.

They made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.
