'Track defect' causes Aberdeen to Edinburgh train delays

Train services between Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow are being delayed due to a track inspection in Angus.

Scotrail said engineers were inspecting a "suspected track defect" on the line between Arbroath and Montrose.

It apologised for delays and said that disruption to services between the stations was expected until 17:30 on Friday.

There were delays to services on Thursday evening after the same section of line was inspected.
