Appeal after man, 84, seriously injured in road crash

Police have appealed for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Angus which left an 84-year-old man seriously injured.

Emergency services attended the one-vehicle crash on the A928 Petterden to Glamis Road near to Hatton of Ogilvie at about 11:50 on Thursday.

The pensioner was treated at the scene after his burgundy Honda car collided with a tree and wall.

He is being treated for his injuries at Dundee's Ninewells Hospital.

Police Scotland said the road was closed for approximately one hour to allow a full investigation into the circumstances.
