Tesco Bank customer service manager admits embezzlement
A Tesco Bank customer service manager who embezzled more than £3,000 from the company will be sentenced in July.
Raymond Townsley took the money while working at the firm's Baird Avenue call centre in Dundee.
Townsley, of Rattray, Perthshire, pleaded guilty to a single charge of embezzlement at Dundee Sheriff Court.
The court was told that the 33-year-old embezzled the £3,097 between October 2013 and June 2015.
Depute fiscal Stewart Duncan said: "It seems to be lots of small amounts over two years.
"Refunds would be processed and put into his own bank account."
Sheriff George Way deferred sentence for social work background reports and ordered Townsley to appear at the sentencing hearing.
