Police probe spate of van thefts

Police in Forth Valley are appealing for information after a spate of Ford Transit van thefts in the region.

Three of the vehicles have been stolen in Grangemouth, Bonnybridge and Carronshore.

The first van was taken from Abbotsinch industrial estate in Grangemouth on 12 June followed by a theft from Lind Place in Bonnybridge on 19 or 20 June.

A white Ford Transit tipper truck was stolen from North Main Street in Carronshore at the same time.

Sgt Lyne Rushford said: "Van owners should take steps to make their vehicles as unattractive to thieves as possible.

"Always make sure you lock your van and remove any valuables, whether in the back or on display.

"Make sure your van is alarmed and park it in a garage or a well-lit, public area."
