Castle Huntly absconder Thomas Proctor traced by police

A 33-year-old Castle Huntly inmate who failed to return to the open prison following a period of home leave has been traced.

Police Scotland said Thomas Proctor was traced in Coatbridge in the early hours of Friday.

Officers had advised the public not to approach Proctor.

The inmate was reported missing at about 15:00 on Wednesday after he failed to return to the open prison, near Dundee.
