Farm owners 'saddened' after fire death
The owners of a Perthshire fruit farm said they were "saddened" at the death of a male worker in a caravan fire.
The man died following the blaze at Mains of Errol farm, between Perth and Dundee, on Sunday morning.
The site has dozens of caravans used by migrant workers who pick strawberries on the farm on the banks of the River Tay.
The man has not yet been formally identified and an investigation into the incident is continuing.
A Mains of Errol farm spokeswoman said: "We are saddened to confirm that a tragic incident took place on the farm in the early hours of Sunday morning that resulted in the loss of life.
"No formal identification has taken place and we are currently assisting police and the fire service with their investigation.
"We are in communication with the other workers on the farm and will do all we can to support our employees at this sad time."
