Helicopter rescues four from Falls of Falloch

A Coastguard helicopter has rescued four women from the water at the Falls of Falloch, north of Loch Lomond.

The emergency services were called to the waterfall, near Crianlarich, at 15:15.

Police, fire, ambulance and members of the Killin Mountain Rescue Team were sent to the scene.

The operation took 90 minutes with the women being airlifted to safety at about 16:50.

Police Scotland said the group had been rescued from the middle of the falls.
