Police investigation after teenager seen on bridge parapet
A police investigation is continuing after a teenager was seen on the parapet of the Queen's Bridge in Perth.
Police Scotland said it was trying to establish whether the person entered the water shortly after being spotted by a member of the public.
The Broughty Ferry lifeboat, Coastguard helicopter, police and fire crews attended the scene at about 21:00 on Monday.
Police have asked anyone who was in the area at time to come forward.
Insp Kevin Chase said: "We are carrying out further inquiries following concerns from a member of the public that a young person was seen on the parapet of Queen's Bridge in Perth at about 20:45 last night.
"They were seen to walk along the wall before being lost to view a short time later.
"There are concerns that the person could have entered the water."
The teenager was described as wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up and dark trousers.
Insp Chase said officers were keen to trace a jogger wearing a red T-shirt with a white logo on the back and dark trousers.
He said the jogger ran past a person turning left off the bridge onto Tay Street at about 20:45.
