A prisoner who absconded from HMP Castle Huntly jail in Dundee has been traced by police.

Frederick Boyd failed to return to the open prison on Tuesday 11 April after being on leave at his home in Glasgow.

Officers had warned the public not to approach the 54-year-old.

Police Scotland said Boyd was traced in the Glasgow area.
