Man in fancy dress attacked by gang

Police are appealing for information after a man in fancy dress was seriously assaulted by four other men in Dundee.

The man was walking with friends, who were also in fancy dress costumes, when the four men got out of a small white car and attacked him.

The incident took place near the Hope United Church in Brown Street at about 03:30 on Saturday.

The man was treated in hospital for a head injury.

Officers said his friends suffered minor injuries as a result of the altercation.

The car drove off along Guthrie Street following the incident.

All four men in the vehicle were described as being in their early 20s.

One of the men was about 5ft 9in tall, white, with blonde hair or a shaved head, and wearing a dark T-shirt.

The second man was about 5ft 6in tall, white, and wore a grey long-sleeved top and dark blue jeans.

The third suspect was 5ft 3in, white, with black hair, and wore a white polo neck and jeans.

The fourth man was black, with long dark hair, spoke with an English accent, and wore a dark top, jeans and a beanie hat.
