Goldtrail collapse shocks Bridgend family
A family due to travel to Turkey on Sunday have spoken about their devastation after the travel firm Goldtrail went into administration.
Pauline and Peter Lang and their children booked their holiday in June, paying £1,200.
But the family from Bridgend were "devastated" to learn that their holiday was off.
An estimated 16,000 customers remain overseas but the CAA said it would arrange for customers to be flown home.
"We booked in June, a bit of a last minute thing really, but it hasn't worked out," said Mrs Lang.
She said the family woke early on Saturday morning to discover via the television news that the travel firm they had booked their holiday through had gone into administration.
"It was very upsetting," she said.
"I'm so angry that this can happen."
Her husband Peter said: "We are absolutely devastated at what has happened."
The family said they have booked flights with another operator at an extra cost of £800.
"We are not going to be reimbursed the £800 but we don't know if we will have our full payment of the £1,200 we paid already back - we don't know how much we are going to get back," said Mrs Lang.
"The extra £800 is £800 less of out holiday spending money."

Meanwhile, Ann Jones from Menai Travel agents in Caernarfon is trying to help three customers who booked Goldtrail holidays, find alternative trips.
"They are going to get their money back from us, it'll be a lot of paperwork but that's usual with these type of things.
"We are trying to rearrange for them to go away on a different holiday with a different company.
"We only tended to use Goldtrail as a last resort, it was only very cheap holidays and we were wary of them.
"But if the price was right and the customer wanted it the only back up we knew was if they did go under we would be able to get their money back."
