Robbers spray shop staff in face during jewellery raid

Workers are recovering after being sprayed in the face during a jewellery shop raid in Flintshire.

Two were taken to hospital for treatment but were not seriously hurt in the robbery at Sheila Williams' Jewellers in Mold.

It is not known what substance was used by the two masked men who stole a number of items during Tuesday's raid in Wrexham Road at 1530 GMT.

The men, both in their 20s, were wearing dark coats with caps and hoods.

One covered his face with a red scarf and one was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms.

The pair were last seen running in the direction of the town's Co-op store which is behind the jewellers.
