The death of a woman in a house fire in Flintshire is not being treated as suspicious, North Wales Police has said.

The body of the woman, 55, was discovered upstairs in the semi-detached property in Mold.

Two fire engines were called to the house shortly after 1515 GMT on Thursday.

Firefighters arrived to find the house heavily smoke-logged with fire damage to the upstairs front bedroom.

It is thought the fire had been smouldering for some time.

The cause of the fire is being investigated, a spokesperson for North Wales Fire Service said.
