Floods hit Conwy train services

Train operators say they have been forced to suspend services on part of the Conwy Valley rail line due to flooding.

Buses are replacing services from North Llanrwst station to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Arriva Trains Wales says it took the decision to close the track on Tuesday evening, following torrential rain in the area over the weekend.

Since 2004, more than £5m has been spent to repairing flood damage to the line that runs to Llandudno Junction.
