The body of a man found on the banks of the River Neath on Saturday is that of a missing businessman, police have confirmed.

Jeffrey John Trick, 57, from Bryncoch, Neath, was last seen on 4 January and reported missing the following day.

Posters of the missing football season ticket holder were put up around Swansea City Football Club's Liberty Stadium and also in the Neath area.

South Wales Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.

His body was found at about 1500 GMT on Saturday, near to Giants Grave Wharf.

Mr Trick's next of kin have been informed.

The disappearance of Mr Trick was described by his parents as "completely out of character".

At the time of his disappearance, police described Mr Trick as a well-known businessman but officers said their inquiries had drawn a blank.
