Van driver dies in Cardiff M4 motorway crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in which a driver died after his van overturned on a motorway embankment north of Cardiff.

The white Vauxhall Combo Van was being driven by a 62-year-old man on the M4 eastbound between junctions 33 and 32 at about 1235 GMT on Thursday.

The driver died at the scene despite being lifted clear by passing motorists and treated by a doctor and paramedics.

The motorway was partially closed for around two-and-a-half hours.
