Bomb unit dispose of 'shell' found at Capel Iwan

A bomb disposal squad has been called in after a man discovered what he believed was a "shell" while gardening in Carmarthenshire.

Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police were called to the scene at Capel Iwan, near Newcastle Emlyn, at 1050 GMT on Wednesday.

They called in experts from Royal Logistics Corps to make the area safe.

Police said no evacuations were necessary because the shell was not close to properties.

The shell has now been dealt with and the incident is over.
