Fishguard hostel window fall man's injuries 'serious'

A man is seriously ill after he was found in the street after he apparently fell out of a first-floor window of a hostel in Fishguard in Pembrokeshire.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the man, 45 and from Derbyshire, has serious head, chest and leg injuries following the fall some time between 0110-0210 GMT.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.

The incident happened at Hamilton Lodge where police said the man was staying.

The man was found by members of the public laying on a pavement about 10ft (3m) below an open window.
