Police are looking for two men who ran away from a car that crashed and slid on to its side on a Swansea road.

The speeding car hit a parked car in Llangyfelach Road, Brynhyfryd, before turning over and catching fire.

Resident Pete Rose was woken around 0640 GMT. He said: "I don't understand how they didn't get injured. They must have been really speeding."

The fire service put out the engine fire. South Wales Police said it had begun an investigation.

Mr Rose added: "After the crash happened, I could see someone getting out of the car. Somebody said they had run away."

The road was closed for around two-and-a-half hours.

The incident happened on the junction with Freeman Street.
