Ceredigion man missing as Anglesey search successful

Police are looking for an elderly man who went missing after going for a walk near his home.

Dyfed-Powys Police said John Howard Davies, 76, was last seen in Gilfachreda, near New Quay, Ceredigion, on Saturday morning.

He is said to be 5ft 7in tall, and was wearing a long khaki coat, a tweed jacket, flat cap and brown shoes.

Meanwhile, an 80-year-old missing man with memory problems was found on Anglesey after a coastguard search.

He has been reported missing at Rhosneigr and was located after a two-hour search on Sunday evening involving two lifeboats from Trearddur Bay, a coastguard team and a police helicopter.

Police said the man was found unharmed by coastguards on a footpath alongside Maelog Lake at Rhosneigr.
